August 12, 2018On the auspicious leadership of the Most Venerable Dr. Jnnanapunnika Mahathero Theravada Buddhist Academy has running Master Degree in Theravada Buddhism in affiliation with Lumbini Buddhist University. Interested persons are requested to apply for admission. Class will run from August 2018

Minimum requirement: Bachelor Degree on any faculty by govt. recognized institution

Objectives
- To provide in-depth knowledge of Theravada Buddhism and promote Buddhist traditions and values in the society.

- To strengthen the relationship between the college and various sectors of the Buddhist community in Nepal and abroad
- To develop human resource for strengthening the Buddha Sasana (dispensation of the Buddha) in Nepal.

How to Apply for Admission
Candidates who have completed Bachelor degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for the Master program in Theravada Buddhism.
- Application form can be obtained from the office by paying Rs.100.
- Candidates should pay the following fee for a academic year in installment basis: Admission Fee Rs. 6500
First Instalment Rs. 6000
Second Instalment Rs. 6000
Third Instalment Rs 6000
Total Rs 24,500 per yr.
Extra charge should be paid for Registration fee, exam fee, Thesis and other field visit.
- Official/certified copies of final transcripts and certificates from SLC to Bachelor.
- Official/certified copies of citizenship certificate, migration certificate and documentary evidence of all professional qualifications.
- Other documents which you would like to bring to the attention of the admissions committee, e.g. CV, documentary evidence of academic awards received, participation on workshops/trainings in Buddhism.
The Academy only accepts originals or copies of transcripts and certificates that have been duly declared as true copies.
